A Massive Insurance Premium

Enough strawberry drinks to insure safety for all

Yesterday, I had a meeting at an insurance company across town.  After a fairly long SkyTrain ride, I landed at a very large office building where this company had its head offices.  Outside of the building was a large Spirit House with a huge assortment of Fanta-like drinks.  Except these drinks weren’t Fanta, they were BiG Strawberry flavoured drinks and man, there were a lot of them.

I have written a lot about Fanta, first in this article last May and then again in this post.  However, I’ve never seen so many drinks laid out for Spirits as in this Spirit House.  It’s true that the office building being guarded was very large, but not larger than many others.  The only conclusion I could come to was that there were tenants in this building that needed extra protection and therefore more strawberry drink was necessary to fuel the Spirits.

I have also never seen BiG drinks.  This brand is obviously a Thai brand, but it looks just like Fanta and maybe is loved by Spirits just as much.

As I left my meeting, it occurred to me that many insurance companies and brokers occupied space in the building.  Maybe all that BiG Strawberry soda was somehow connected to the goings on at these insurance companies.  All the drinks might have been the premium paid to the Spirits to insure the safety of the building.

    • Ensure is the drink. No these Spirits are all about insurance. As to why no flies? Spirits don’t liked to be messed with.

  1. To insure no pesky flies about, leave the caps on

I think it unfair that insurance firms garner better protection via larger sodas. Someone should complain to a higher authority; although spirits are already pretty high up there already

I personally think it more a colour thing. Red has such meaning in so many cultures. I bet it has additional meaning in the spirit world too.

Must ask next time someone looks at my palm

    • The next time someone looks at your palm and it’s really red, that probably means it’s bleeding. In those cases, check out the nearest emergency department. Quickly!

  2. Bleeding palms and Easter being so long ago definitely not a good thing

Mind you I always was a late bloomer!
